According to a World Bank report, in Brazil, half of the young people aged 15-29 (25 million people) are currently economically disengaged (lacking or hardly acquiring human capital), in a world that evolves with new technologies. We will bring our methodology and courses to teachers, social educators and youth, strengthening competencies, stimulating the use of technologies in an ethical, transformative way, heightening global awareness, social and civic entrepreneurship.
The project - Recode - Reprogramming and Digitally Empowering Brazil: A 2-year introductory vision for an important step in the systemic change of access and use of technologies for social transformation - seeks to transform the future of young people in social vulnerability in Brazilian communities and public schools, driven by the use of technologies. It aims to generate systemic change in the teaching and learning processes of individuals, for the ethical and citizen use of new technologies, whilst promoting actions that contribute to the strengthening of human capital with the skills necessary to thrive in this new moment of society, of the 4th Industrial and Technological Revolution. According to the OECD, around 65% of school-age children are likely to work in professions that do not yet exist and 35% of the most in demand skills will change in less than 24 months. Recode/CDI Global wants to implement a huge revolution in education and impact a whole generation of Brazilians, transforming existing educational spaces, such as schools, community centers and libraries, into digital empowerment centers. We will bring our methodology and courses to teachers, social educators and young people, strengthening competencies such as leadership, entrepreneurial sense, digital and analytical skills, and creativity, stimulating the use of technologies in an ethical, transformative way, heightening global awareness, social and civic entrepreneurship.
